Position Overview

In this role, you’ll coordinate daily deliveries with our customers, and provide answers and solutions to various customer requests. You’ll play an integral part as we stand together to reinvent the way our world is built.

Wage: $21 - $25/hr. DOE

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)


  • Intake and verify orders via centralized call center with high call volumes.

  • Maintain a pleasant and accommodating demeanor over the phone.

  • Demonstrate positive and professional attitude with team members, customers, drivers, dispatchers, salesmen etc.

  • Aggressively seek timely solutions to developing problems while fostering lasting business relationships with our customers.

  • Schedule, dispatch, and control the appropriate level of drivers required to satisfy customer demand while maintaining safety and efficiency goals established by the company.

  • Enter order data into computer system.

  • Coordinate deliveries with customers, sales, quality control, operators, and other personnel as required regarding special materials needed, customer requirements, and plant and material availability.

  • Maintain working knowledge of city streets and surrounding areas to assist drivers in locating specific job sites.

  • Assist customers in determining the proper product, proper amount, and proper price.

  • Receive and follow-up on customer complaints regarding any truck or driver problems at job sites.

  • Build a strong rapport with customers, both internally and externally.

  • Regular and timely attendance.

  • Other tasks as assigned to meet business needs.

  • Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum Requirements


  • Excellent organizational, customer service and telephone skills.

  • Ability to handle problems as they arise in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Demonstrates ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with all departments and customers on the phone and in person.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows/PC applications.

  • Able to perform basic mathematical functions.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills with high attention to detail.

  • Able to work extended hours when needed.

  • Must pass pre-employment-controlled substance testing.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Previous experience in the construction industry a plus but not required.

 

Work Environment


  • Office setting

  • This position is a largely sedentary; however, caution needs to be taken when lifting files, boxes, opening file cabinet drawers. To avoid injuries to hands, back, and neck, proper ergonomics should be maintained while working at desk/workstation.

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
