The CLS Specialist o versees workflow of the lab to ensure turn-around times are met. Troubleshoots or investigates problems with malfunctioning analyzers and procedures. Aids in the development of new procedures or modify existing procedures under the direction of a supervisor or project leader. Performs lab compliance procedures including calibration and calibration verification of assays. Establish and maintain QC materials and data. Assists in training of new CLS's and CLS trainees. Perform bench CLS responsibilities. Performs duties and job functions listed below for other UCSF laboratory sites as needed. This position is located in the Peninsula Outpatient Center. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role. For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
