Business System Analyst 2 - Military Veterans

Purpose/Scope

Under minimal direction, liaise with I.T. Support Team to facilitate efficient and effective technical support to the Program. Formulate and define systems scope and objectives through user needs and an understanding of business systems and industry requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain various systems used in Program Management and the maintenance and operation of aircraft.
  • Test programs, project management tools, and procedures.
  • Develop and administer training for internal/external customers and recommend best use policies and procedures as required.
  • Coordinate with I.T. Support to prepare reports, schedules, data requirements, security access rules, and identify system constraints.
  • Coordinate the installation and/or upgrade of new and existing systems through I.T. Support.
  • Coordinate licensing and subscription acquisition and renewal through company Purchasing/Contracts.
  • Perform customer requirement analysis for existing or proposed systems to determine feasibility and objectives of requests.
  • Perform industry research of relevant technological advancements/product improvements and study existing information systems to evaluate effectiveness and acquire or develop new systems where appropriate.
  • Assist financial, logistic, and technical analysts in resolution of work problems related to project and/or system specifications (IE: Excel tools, Power BI dashboards, SharePoint sites/libraries).
    • Lead and manage concurrent projects of varying scope/complexity.
    • Manage change/transition with an emphasis on Lean techniques.
  • Provide support in the development of technical proposal and provide input on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work.
  • May provide administrative support to project management staff in customer meetings, presentations and briefings.
  • Comply with company I.T. and Security, hardware, and software systems standards and procedures.

Minimum Experience

3 + years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree
0 - 2 years of relevant experience with Master's degree
The position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance with special program access.

Preferred Experience

Prior military or minimum of three years of experience in support of the D.O.D. Experience with defense acquisition policy. Experienced project manager with excellent written and oral communication skills. Expertise with integrated software applications and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, Power Query, SharePoint, Access, Teams). Prior experience in the aviation/aerospace industry. Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance with special program access.

Work Environment

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting and use of a computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing, and editing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness. Minimal travel may be required.
