Continuous Improvement Co-Op - Spring 2025
WORK LOCATION: Billerica, MA

Core Purpose:
Our site in Bedford is seeking a/an Continuous Improvement Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct 6S audits to improve safety and productivity.
- Teach, train, and coach front-line operators and supervisors on lean systems and tools.
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and standard work documents.
- Conduct time studies to analyze and optimize processes.
- Create current and future state value stream maps to identify inefficiencies.
- Develop process maps to visualize workflows.
- Document and participate in root cause analysis using 5 Whys and Fishbone techniques.
- Participate in Kaizen workshops for continuous improvement.
- Assist with the implementation of tiered daily management systems for a high-performance workplace.
- Identify and address the 8 wastes of Lean to enhance operational efficiency.
You're a good fit if you have:
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Some leadership strengths
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Experience with basic Microsoft tools such as excel and power-point
- Ability to understand theory and then adjust for real world projects

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
- Proven leadership skills via athletic teams and or volunteer organizations
- Previous experience with lean and six sigma methods
- Knowledge and experience working in a highly technical production environment
- Excellence in using the Microsoft suite of tools and power BI experience

- Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management
