Responsibilities:

The Greif Early Career Program offers a 10-week corporate internship experience. Participants will undertake IT project-based assignments focused on business analytics.


  • Assist with generating and analyzing reports using Power BI


  • Create and manage end-user reports to visualize data effectively


  • Engage in practical data science use cases, such as sales and inventory models, testing theories through real-world applications



A summer internship at Greif will enable you to:

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Attend the week-long Internship Summit at Greif's corporate headquarters in Delaware, Ohio


  • Assist in IT assignments and ongoing projects


  • Familiarize yourself with departmental functions


  • Gain extensive experience across various data use cases, including sales, inventory, and manufacturing


  • Develop valuable skills applicable to multiple fields and industries


  • Attend internship events, social networking events, and roundtables


  • Potentially present to the Executive Leadership Team at the end of the internship


  • Contribute to performance goals and assigned projects


  • Perform other duties as assigned



Qualifications:

  • Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, or a related field


  • Minimum completion of two years or more of college preferred prior to the start of your internship


  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.


  • Able to work full-time during the 10-week internship experience beginning May 19th, 2025, to July 25th, 2025



What sets you apart:

  • Strong academic background, with a preferred GPA of 3.5 or above


  • Relevant internship, work experience, or involvement with professional clubs/organizations


  • Proficiency in Excel and understanding of databases, data structuring, and data modeling


  • Ability to apply data science methods and test hypotheses in practical scenarios


  • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI


  • Solid understanding of data fundamentals and principles


  • Familiarity with databases and data management


  • knowledge of Python, SQL, or R for data manipulation and analysis


  • Skills in validating data and creating accurate reports


  • Exhibit a higher level of expertise in data handling


  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team


  • Proactive Learning


  • Curiosity and problem-solving skills


  • Demonstrate a desire to continuously expand your knowledge and improve your skills.


  • Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, time management, analytical, and adaptability skills
