Our site in Reno, NV is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team.

The Production Supervisor position is responsible and accountable for achieving departmental production requirements by focusing on safety, quality, and cost, through supervision of staff and through the coordination of scheduling and workflow. This position is responsible for the CCW (Spin Coat) department in a 100% Clean Room environment. Must be comfortable working with chemicals such as Toluene.

This position will provide staff training, guidance and motivation, ensures that work instructions are maintained and are followed. Helps to instill a culture where teamwork, innovation, and accountability are of the highest importance.

Primary hours for this position are 7AM-3:30PM Monday-Friday.

What you'll do:


  • Handles production staff; interviews, hires, evaluates, and develops direct reports; oversees disciplinary actions; conducts production personnel performance evaluations

  • Participates as a key member of the plant safety committee; plays a leadership role in safety process at site, drives safety culture within the production team

  • Handles production activities in concert with the planning, scheduling, shipping, and supply chain organizations to meet customers' quality and delivery needs

  • Communicates with product management to ensure production schedules and strategies adequately cover customer needs

  • Owns implementation of 6-S processes and concepts in areas of responsibility, oversees customer complaints regarding packaging operations; ensures mutually satisfactory resolution

  • Collaborates with engineering on the design and implementation scope for automation, new equipment, equipment replacement, or other related department projects

  • Works with engineering/maintenance on implementation timelines to best coincide with production activities

  • Reports incidents using quality software programs; investigates and implements corrective actions

  • Proposes and implements revisions to procedures or writes new procedures as vital, develops new workflow processes, selects and audits work instructions for completeness

  • Works closely with the production manager to meet budget and revenue targets

  • Assists the operations manager to determine present and future needs for programs, personnel, equipment, and facility

  • Performs other duties assigned by management that fall within the generally encouraged scope of this position


What We Seek:

  • A minimum of 6 years of applicable industry experience with 2 years in a leadership position. Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities through team leadership and/or project management.

  • Experience working in a 100% clean room and handling chemicals like Toluene.

  • Knowledge of continual improvement in plant processes

  • Experience dealing with customer facing teams; dedicated to customer service, including diplomatic communications skills, comprehensive problem solving
