Sourcing Executive - Military Veterans

Summary:

In this role, you will be a strategic sourcing resource, dedicated to delivering best in class contracting strategies and expertise that result in supply chain cost reductions. You will accomplish this by contributing to all aspects of supply chain strategic sourcing processes including opportunity identification, strategy building, contract development, negotiations, documentation, and implementation. You will develop a customer-specific contract strategy to reduce spending, improve operational efficiencies, maximize delivered value and ultimately achieve a higher level of provider satisfaction by becoming a trusted advisor. You will provide on-site support, within the providers' supply chain department, located in Dallas, Texas.

Responsibilities:


  • Work independently with legal team to develop language, draft contracts, and negotiate terms and conditions of complex contracts.


  • Research the geographic community to identify diverse suppliers, community-based organizations, and Vizient prime suppliers in the identified geographic community.


  • Collaborate with the analyst team to conduct market assessments and market research of diverse suppliers within the contract region for potential contracting opportunities.


  • Develop and manage relationships with providers, diverse suppliers, and regional councils to ensure satisfaction through effective, timely communication and problem resolution.


  • Interpret data to develop actionable steps to improve diverse supplier spend and support diverse supplier contracting opportunities across assigned cohort.


  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to drive utilization of contracted suppliers.



Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.


  • 2 or more years of relevant experience in negotiating contracts required.


  • Excellent client management skills required. (e.g., relationship building and strategic partnering skills).


  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills required.


  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills required.


  • Experience working with supply chain and various types of suppliers preferred.


  • Experience in the health care industry desired.


  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams).


  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $77,400.00 to $127,600.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
