What You Will Do



  • Administration and support of industrial automation and control systems IT infrastructure to include oversight of process control Active Directory domain, backups, anti-virus and patching. 

  • Perform internal audits to ensure industrial automation and control systems IT infrastructure, procedures and practices align with industry standards and MIS policy. 

  • Assist in providing IT infrastructure design and validation for automation and control systems in conjunction with Sr. Control Systems Analyst. 

  • Interface with process control staff for project and system modification support. 

  • Provide training and support to process control, engineering and internal MIS staff regarding industrial automation systems and associated IT infrastructure. 

  • Provides continuous improvement for industrial automation and control systems IT infrastructure through reviews of system designs and assists in budget development for normal IT hardware refresh cycles within the control systems. 

  • Provides additional support and guidance to Control Systems Analyst I.  

  • Assist process control staff, engineering, vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with MIS policy and standards. 

  • Actively participate and promote Safety and Environmental programs, ensure MIS policy compliance and site operational goals. 

  • Perform other duties as required. 




What You Bring To Freeport



  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or an Engineering discipline and three (3) years of experience in an Engineering, Systems Administration or Technology Support role, OR 

  • Associates degree in Information Systems or related discipline and Six (6) years of experience in any combination of industrial automation and control systems, IT LAN administration, software troubleshooting, computer systems maintenance and application support OR, 

  • High School diploma or GED and eight (8) years of experience in any combination of industrial automation and control systems, IT LAN administration, software troubleshooting, computer systems maintenance and application support. 

  • Two years of experience with LAN administration functions to include server hardware/virtualization, backups, patching, anti-virus and security or industrial automation and control systems experience. 

  • Process Data Historian experience (AspenTech InfoPlus.21, OSI PI, etc.) 

  • Must be customer service-oriented and possess good organizational and interpersonal skills. 

  • Skill in effective communication, both verbal and written. 




Preferred Qualifications



  • IT LAN Administration or Industrial Automation and Control System experience. 

  • LAN Administration experience (Microsoft Windows, BackupExec or other backup software, OS patching, etc.) 

  • Industrial Automation and Control Systems experience (DCS, PLC, SCADA, RTU, etc.) 

  • Process Data Historian experience (Aspentech Infoplus.21, PI, etc.) 



What We Offer You  

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $82,000-$113,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
