Collections Specialist (Hybrid) - Military Veterans

As a Collections Specialist, you will play a critical role in mitigating risk by resolving clients' past due balances. You will ensure that high-quality service is delivered to both branches and clients, handling accounts with professionalism and precision. This role involves balancing risk management with maintaining positive client relationships, making decisions on account holds/releases, and escalating issues when necessary.
Schedule: First three weeks of training: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST
Regular hours: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM EST
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound calls to resolve past due balances, meeting daily collection and call goals.
- Initiate outbound calls to clients based on risk to resolve outstanding receivables.
- Make informed decisions to release or hold at-risk accounts in line with company policies.
- Research EFT transactions returned by the bank to recollect owed funds.
- Evaluate high-risk accounts for potential escalation to the internal collection agency.
- Escalate client issues to relevant departments to ensure timely resolution and collection.
- Maintain daily call targets to meet forecasted goals and standards.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive financial situations.
- Experience in a collections or customer service role is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in line with company policy.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, both remotely and in-office.
