As part of the Spectrum Convergence team, the engineer will be part of a multi-disciplinary
engineering team on the Trusted Security Solutions (TSS) Program.

THE WORK
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is looking for production professionals to work on Cross-Domain Solution (CDS) products that protect and defend the information flow of critical and time sensitive data on many military applications and networks. As part of the TSS Team, you will ensure cyber security standards are met and implemented. The candidate will have the role of an Installation Engineer, focused on implementing on-site configuration and requirements for the Radiant Mercury CDS. Expected tasks will include system installation, system patching/upgrading, system configuration/integration, test/operational support, and performing customer training. This role requires effective coordination and communication with both end customers and internal engineering teams. The candidate should expect to learn necessary skills through hands on experiences and should work well in a team. Duties to include hardware design and development for CDS product, factory-deliverable buildup of CDS product, assist Sys Admin personnel with infrastructure maintenance tasks, support new project proposals, support site deployments of CDS products (installation, integration, accreditation, and training).

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The installation team works within the Deer Creek facility with limited ability to work remotely. Members of the installation team are expected to travel at a minimum 50-75% of the time. Installation team members are also expected to be available for emergency trips to support customer operational needs.

RESPONSIBLITIES
The selected candidate will be supporting the TSS Program in all phases of the CDS configuration and deployment process. This individual will be ensuring the execution of technical solutions that require strong logic skills, familiarity with Linux command line, and familiarity with programming and script languages (for example, bash, python, perl). The selected candidate will support multiple projects or task orders concurrently – this support includes but is not limited to: help desk support; customer meetings; technical solution development; distant technical support for other installers; lab support; CDS installation and accreditation support; assisting customers with required documentation; conference attendance; customer status update meeting/conferences; software test support; configuration management; and training events.
The selected candidate will also collaborate closely with project management, systems engineers,
systems integration and test engineers as well as fellow installation engineers. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance; ability to obtain a final TS/SCI Clearance

- Travel will be required to fulfill the duties of this role, 50% - 75%

- Proficient with Linux/Unix OS (RHEL preferred)

- Experience with OS Scripting and/or object-oriented programming

- Expected to obtain Security+ certification within 6 months of starting

- Systems Engineering Background
Desired Skills:
- Possess excellent customer relationship management skills to include outreach and communications experience.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to effectively communicate with end customers

- Ability to embrace complex technical challenges and apply ‘systems thinking’ for resolution

- Secret level clearance; Top Secret preferred

- Experience with system networking and troubleshooting

- Currently valid Security+, CASP, CISSP or similar certification

- Experience authoring and executing test/installation plans

- Experience with hardware configuration (NICs, Secure boot, RAID, etc.)

- Familiar with Cross Domain Solutions architectures

- Experience with Mission Critical systems

- Ability to work independently and prioritize workload based on team objectives

- Ability to work in a team environment and have strong coordination, organization, and communication skills

- Military tactical communications background
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $55,300 - $106,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
