Scheduled Hours 20 Position Summary The Program Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the administration of the Pappu lab and the Center for Biomolecular Condensates (the Center). The Program Coordinator will manage seminars and events the Center, manage meetings within the Pappu lab, serve as Webmaster for the center website, edit and publish the center Newsletter twice a year, help with preparing the annual report of the center, handle administrative duties such as coordinating orders and collecting documents for processing of travel reports within the Pappu lab, and provide administrative support to the Director of the Center. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Organizes, coordinates, and advertises the center seminars and events, including the managing of email lists. Responsible for organizing travel and itineraries, and hosting invited speakers and visitors. Schedules space, oversee logistics and set up, and arranges for catering for seminars and events. Creates, maintains, and projects budget for seminar and event expenses. Creates and maintains e-mail distribution list for seminar announcements and creates seminar flyer(s) suitable for e-mail. Designs, creates and publishes event brochure and creates website for registration. Serves as primary contact for internal and external persons, businesses, vendors, and publishers. Executes and processes all purchases for the center office and the Pappu lab. Coordinates and schedules laboratory visits; hosts visitors to laboratory and center. Processes documents in workday for center office and laboratory. Prepares letters, correspondence, forms, etc. Serves as Webmaster for the center website. Maintains design of website; designs new web pages, creates, edits, revises and updates website. Creates and maintains content and graphics of website. Solicits information from center faculty members for inclusion on the website or finds and creates information by researching the internet or other means. Uploads video content including tutorials and PR material. Assists with website design, content, and graphical design of lab and center website. Obtains digital pictures for websites. Organizes group meetings to discuss and make decisions regarding the center and lab websites. Designs, produces, prepares and prints center brochure and Newsletter for distribution in all media types. Edits, publishes and distributes newsletters. Solicits articles, obtains photos and conducts interviews for the newsletter. Produces graphical designs for center brochure, Newsletter, posters (center and laboratory), PowerPoint presentations, figures for journal or book publications, letterhead, business cards, etc. Performs other duties as assigned. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
