This position includes responsibility for managing many of the administrative functions of the Pforzheimer Learning and Teaching Center (PLTC), playing a significant role in the delivery of the PLTC program training and administrative functions and supporting the work of the PLTC Program Director and Faculty Director.
Responsibilities include managing the daily operations of the PLTC office which serves over 2,000 students who utilize more than 12,000 visits per academic year; providing significant support for the PLTC academic and faculty or programs and services; maintaining the PLTC's website; utilizing the record management software; utilizing Workday, the college's Student Management System (SMS); managing and reporting on the PLTC's budget; assisting with the hiring, training and supervising PLTC peer educators (PE's) in cooperation with the PLTC Director of Program and providing administrative support to the PLTC Faculty Director. Other administrative duties as assigned by the Program Director or the Faculty Director.
The PLTC Program Coordinator coordinates the daily operation of the PLTC's academic support programs (such as the different types of tutoring programs, workshops, etc.) in collaboration with the and under the direction of the Director of Programs. Duties include communicating with faculty liaisons, academic departments and students to recruit; interview; recommend for hire and provide intensive multiple-day training to approximately 150 PEs per year; overseeing the on-boarding process for new and returning PEs; assisting the Director of Programs with PE and program evaluation; working with the faculty liaisons to help ensure that the PE schedules and assignments are meeting the needs of students within the departments; manages student payroll and preparing and disseminating reports as requested by the Director of Programs. This position includes collaboration with other offices on campus (e.g., Class Deans, academic programs and departments, Cultural Advisors, Writing Program, Quantitative Reasoning Program, Residence Life) to ensure student access to academic support programs. All work will be done in close collaboration with and under the direction of the PLTC Director of Programs.
Primary Position Responsibilities
Manage PLTC administrative functions
Manage communications related to PLTC services and programs
Manage the recruitment, interviewing, hiring paperwork and hiring recommendation all PLTC peer educators
Conduct PLTC training for content tutors, supplemental instruction leaders and other PLTC peer educators
Provides regular usage statistics and other reports relative to tutoring and other PLTC programs
Manage PLTC budget expenditures and prepare budget reports in cooperation with PLTC Director
Supervise student office assistants
Provide administrative support for PLTC related events
Supervisory Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
Ability to exercise initiative, work independently, set priorities, work under pressure, coordinate a variety of task simultaneously, be self-directed and solve problems.
Demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, record management software, and web editing software.
Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
College Graduate, Masters degree preferred. 5 years administrative experience.
Skills and Abilities
Develop and implement effective administrative procedures supporting the PLTC's programs and services.
Helps facilitate the recruitment, interviewing and hiring recommendations for PLTC peer educators.
Effectively manage record management software including troubleshooting, liaison with Red Rock software, creating; printing and distributing usage reports and statistics
Assist in the training of PLTC peer educators based on the guidelines of the College Reading and Learning Association.
Oversee the process of assigning students to tutors and/or referring them to other PLTC and institutional resources
