Job Type: Full-time Job Description: The Executive Director of Intercultural Engagement is responsible for advancing the Student Experience (SE) division's diversity, equity, inclusion, and access objectives. The Executive Director will advance strategic and innovative objectives while providing leadership and oversight to the Intercultural Collective (Center for International Services, Kessler Program, Disability Cultural Center, LGBTQ+ Resource Center, and the Office of BIPOC Student Success) ensuring a vibrant, safe, engaging, and educational environment for all students. The Executive Director plays a pivotal role with student success by working collaboratively and creatively with key campus partners and leads the efforts of the Intercultural Collective, created to provide programming and educational opportunities to increase students' sense of community and belonging, providing cultural communities that recognize and support all students, ensuring they have a place to connect on campus and learn from each other. The Executive Director also co-chairs the Diversity Council for the SE division and serves on the Student Activism Engagement Team. The Executive Director works to ensure SE staff have access to professional development and training centered on diversity, equity, inclusion, and access. Qualifications: Job Specific Qualifications: Responsibilities: Provide leadership and fiscal oversight to the following: Disability Cultural Center, Center for International Services, LGBT Resources Center, and the Office of Multicultural Affairs. Oversees ongoing efforts to develop and implement departmental strategic plans, including assessing program outcomes, services that will further enhance the student experience. Supervises a team of professionals, graduate assistants, and student assistants, including hiring, training, professional development, and performance management. Work closely with Student Experience leadership team to ensure a vibrant, safe, engaging, and educational environment for all students. Collaboration, outreach, and relationship building with colleagues across campus, including student support staff in academic units, and in the city of Syracuse. Professionally active to ensure that Syracuse University remains up to date with best practices in the field of diversity, equity, inclusion, and access. Co-chair the Diversity Council for the Student Experience division and serve on the Student Activism Engagement Team. Other duties as assigned.
