of process technologies in refining, petrochemicals, gas, and renewables areas. You will work as part of a multidiscipline
team with process, equipment, service, project management, customers,
contractors, and vendors to execute projects. You will generate designs, produce
specifications, evaluate revamps, troubleshoot operations, and communicate
results. You will utilize your equipment
expertise to provide UOP and its customers knowledge of the design,
specification, operation, and capabilities of all static equipment. You will develop the product designs
necessary to drive product improvement and will be integral in securing present
and future business by consistently meeting or exceeding Voice of Customer
requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise all technical activities of the Static Equipment group, responsible for providing design engineering, requisitioning, vendor drawing, calculation review, fabrication support, and inspection activities for all types of static equipment required for Equipment Product Lines.
- Managing resource planning and handling direct supervision of all static equipment global members, and contract service workers.Assisting with their on-boarding, mentorship and coaching through execution of project support.
- Serve as a Lead Equipment engineer for Mega Projects valued at over $300M with potential for over 200 pieces of equipment.This individual will full accountability of all static equipment and will have a team of equipment engineers that he will be supervising and reviewing their technical work to ensure successful project delivery.
- Serve as Lead Engineer on multiple contracts at any given point in time. Will be the prime internal technical contact for all matters related to Reactors and its internals / Pressure vessels, Heat Exchangers, Tanks and other static equipment on those contracts. They shall closely collaborate with the other global team members from disciplines such as Process, Piping, Instrumentation, CAD-design and Project Management.
- Design and detail engineering of pressure vessels / heat exchangers /Tanks as per international codes such as ASME Section VIII Div.- 1 & 2, PD 5500, TEMA, API 650, API 660, API 661, API 663 and shall have experience with design software Compress, PV Elite, Aspen (B-JAC) and HTRI.
- Thermal rating/ thermal design and mechanical design (including design calculations) of various types of heat exchangers for refinery and petrochemical plants. Candidate should be capable of independently doing mechanical & thermal design of heat exchangers and should be familiar with all aspect of mechanical design of both heat exchangers and pressure vessels.
- Serve as an active member of an ASME Code Committee as you shall be an industry leading expert and contribute to process and equipment advancements to enhance UOPs world leading process technologies.
- Serve as owner
of internal design standards, calculation tools, and documentation and
drive continuous improvement in the area of Static Equipment. - Develop and present training for both internal and external customers
- Support quality Audits of new vendors for supply of Static Equipment
- Ability to
travel up to 10% world-wide, typically of short duration (generally
between a few days and two weeks).

You Must Have:
- Bachelors of Science
Degree in Engineering - 15+ years experience
in Static Equipment Design and Engineering

- Engineering degree in Mechanical engineering
- Industry leading expert level knowledge of ASME Section VIII D1 & D2, TEMA, API requirements related to Vessel Design,
- Welding, PWHT, and Non-Destructive Examination.
- Active ASME / API Code Committee Member
- Expert level experience in the design and selection of Static equipment including experience with Compress/PV-Elite or similar design software
