The Marketing Analyst provides analytical rigor to support forward-thinking strategies to build the innovation and retail pipeline. The individual is responsible for identifying market opportunities, analyzing trends, and supporting the development of new products and processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, a passion for innovation, the consumer, and the food industry, and the ability to translate complex data into strategic insights.

Responsibilities


  • Data and Trend Analysis

    • Conduct comprehensive analysis through primary and secondary data sources to identify sales performance, retail trends, consumer preferences, customer input, and potential areas for innovation.

    • Analyze competitive products and industry developments to provide strategic recommendations.

    • Partner with Market Research team to conduct consumer research including surveys, focus groups, and sensory testing.

    • Analyze consumer feedback to guide product development and improvement.

    • Stay up-to-date with technological advancements and their applications in the food industry.




  • Analytical Reporting

    • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to market trends, consumer behavior, and product performance.

    • Develop detailed reports and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

    • Utilize data visualization tools to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner.




  • Innovation Pipeline Development

    • Support the development and management of the innovation pipeline, from ideation to commercialization.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and evaluate new product concepts and process improvements.

    • Conduct feasibility and risk assessments for proposed innovations.




  • Project Management

    • Assist in managing innovation projects, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business goals.

    • Track project milestones, budgets, and deliverables.

    • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to facilitate successful project outcomes.




  • Collaboration and Communication

    • Work closely with finance, marketing, R&D, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration of new products and processes.

    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing clear and actionable insights.

    • Support the innovation team with ad-hoc analysis and special projects as needed.


Qualifications


  • BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Business or related field required.

  • 1-3 years of experience in a marketing analyst, innovation, or similar role, preferably within the food or CPG industry

  • Experience with business performance analysis and reporting, specifically IRI Retail Data preferred.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power Point skills

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop recommendations and to tell a story utilizing data.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
