Scoping and Estimating Engineer opportunity with a client located in the Northeastern U.S. Working within a team of engineers, analysts, drafters and designers this position will be responsible for creating project scopes and estimates for transmission line and substation projects. responsibilities:
- Analyzing project documents and information to develop conceptual estimates for projects to include materials, construction labor and equipment
- Develop the plan and key materials for the project
- Ensure scopes and estimates are maintained and change management documentation in scope, schedule and cost is maintained
- Identification of project quality requirements and the quality control process and quality assurance are followed
- Other duties as needed and assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited institution
- Approximately 3 or more years experience in reading and interpreting documents to develop scope and estimate projects
- A balance of Technical experience combined with conceptual capabilities to evaluate and balance the needs and priorities of the projects
- Experience using estimating tools such as Sage (or similar) along with scheduling and resource planning skills
- Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills along with a good analytical ability
