Manufacturing Technician - Wax Cleaning 2nd Shift - Military Veterans

A Snapshot of Your Day

In this role, you’ll lead by driving manufacturing and repair processes, development, and improvement projects, and collaborating with combustion design and repair engineering groups to innovate new products. You will be cleaning wax patterns and wax components. Also, participating in training and cross-training in production areas. Your work will also impact society by helping to reduce the cost of fabrication and machining of gas turbine combustion components using our innovative manufacturing processes in the Gibsonton Florida Location.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Will work with small hydrogen torches, hot plates, brushes, hot wax, irons, and a variety of specialized Wax Hand Tools.


• Following written work instructions and photographs and learning methods used for cleaning delicate wax patterns, patching, and blending defects.


• Will use hand tools to patch, smooth, and fill areas performing visual inspection or patterns for defects.


• Review router instructions and quantity for acceptance and clean wax patterns according to work instructions.


• Will update and complete daily paperwork maintaining tools and equipment.


• Meeting manufacturing deadlines maintaining work area clean and free from debris and other duties and cross-training may be assigned as needed.

What You Bring

• A high school Diploma or GED is required and knowledge or interest in manufacturing.


• Good attention to detail and eye/hand coordination skills.


• Able to perform basic math functions using the metric system.


• Ability to read Engineering instructions.


• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.


• This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security, and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
