Job Summary:

SAVA is looking to fill critical Information Technology based positions for our customer with the United States Army at the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) located in Aberdeen, MD (APG). The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities: outstanding customer service, expertise/knowledge in the required field, dedication to the mission and strong work ethic.


SAVA is in search of a dedicated IT professional to join our family as an IT Analyst III (ATEC) on our ATEC IT Support team.


Responsibilities


Job Responsibilities:




  • Defines, designs, develops, and implements computer applications and solutions.


  • Evaluates applications used by the organization and upgrades or enhances existing programs.


  • Conducts surveys to consider user needs and captures marketing research data.


  • Oversees the implementation of computer solutions by managing programmers, coders, and equipment vendors to ensure the design is properly executed in a timely manner and stays within budget.


  • Defines and enhances computer applications used, works closely with management to know the plans and goals to make immediate developments on the system.


  • Ensures that the system is secure, and the network is well filtered. Tests and integrates programs. Performs work under minimal supervision.


  • Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.


  • May act as lead.




Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:




  • Possess an active DOD Secret security clearance.


  • Must possess Computing Environment, Security+ (or equivalent DOD Directive 8570.1 IAT II) or A+/Network+ (or equivalent DOD Directive 8570.1 IAT I) required.


  • Relevant education/experience requirements:


  • 1 plus years with Master


  • 2 plus years with Bachelors


  • 3 plus years with Associates


  • 5 plus year with no degree


  • Experience required in deploying IT hardware such as desktop computers, laptops, tablets, monitors, and printers.


  • Experience configuring IT hardware to resolve problems and installing/configuring operating system images and specialty software on customer devices.


  • Experience in generating reports using Trouble Ticket automated software.


  • Performing backup and restore of software and data on client compute devices.


  • Experience trouble shooting and resolving client network and wireless issues.


  • Experience testing, analysis and repair of computer system hardware and software malfunctions.


  • Experience in large and timely hardware/software organization-wide deployments.


  • Experience coordinating with vendors for the maintenance and repair of hardware related issues and managing inventory and status of computer systems.


  • Must be proficient in the use of applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Visio, and Adobe 2010 Professional for document creation.




Desired Qualifications:




  • Outstanding Customer Service and Communication skills.


  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.


  • Ability to adhere to government policies and requirements.


  • Active DoD-issued Top-Secret clearance, or higher, strongly preferred.


  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, though not required.
