Data Process Engineering Co-Op - Spring 2025

Core Purpose:

Our site in Billerica is seeking a/an Data Process Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.
The Process Engineering Co-op is responsible for working with a group of engineers on projects and continuous improvement efforts.
They will be expected to work with minimal supervision to improve documentation, documentation practices, and the associated processes for using and servicing R&D and manufacturing equipment used in the fabrication of filtration devices.

In this role, you will:
• Assisting in organizing and updating equipment folder structure (primarily in SharePoint and SolidWorks PDM)
• Creating new and updating existing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
• Hands-on work on equipment to develop SOPs or other service-related documentation
• Individually ideating and collaboratively brainstorming for ways to improve equipment documentation, documentation storage and equipment process related solutions
• Critical thinking and problem solving, constantly striving to improve equipment development and documentation processes
• Conducting research and improvement proposals, providing accurate timelines for project tasks, and clearly presenting project details
• Adapting to project scope changes, analyzing and resolving problems and making quick, responsible decisions with limited information

• Self-starter
• Ability to work alone and with a group of engineers, mechanics and operators
• Creative, detail-oriented, able to solve complex problems using methodical approach and rational thinking
• Basic proficiency with solid modeling and associated documentation systems is a plus - SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM (or equivalent)
• Basic knowledge of tools and how to use them
• Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced working environment
• Strong communication skills, ability to convey information both verbally and in writing
• Commitment to safety for colleagues and the environment
• Innovative thinking, problem solving
• Motivated by tough technical challenges and market wins
• Team player who leads by example
• Independent, self-driven and passionate about the work

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
• The ability to create apps with interactive GUI for scheduling and apps that can absorb incoming data, organize and categorize it
• Ignition

• Microsoft Power Automate
• Python

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:
• Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Management, Project Management, Communications or equivalent
