Overview
General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, a premier provider of ordnance weapons and tactical systems to the U.S. Department of Defense and allied nations, has an opening for an onsite HR Project Management Sr Specialist to join the Business Unit HR team, located in St. Petersburg, FL.

This individual will be required to oversee the planning and implementation of new Human Resources (HR) initiatives and processes such as Leadership and Training Programs. Lead and coordinate all aspects of a diverse, multi-disciplinary HR project or multiple HR projects, including process reengineering. Utilize expertise and leadership skills to resolve issues to ensure project goals are met.
Responsibilities
- Manages all aspects of human resources projects throughout the project lifecycle: planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery.
- Liaises between project members, cross-functional teams and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, cost, and meeting plans are communicated.
- Utilizes appropriate tools to plan project timelines, tasks, milestones, and deadlines.
- Tracks progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators, and prepares reports for leadership.
- Monitors task completion status to identify at risk project tasks and to develop mitigation plans.
- Utilizes knowledge of various human resources functions to define and execute on projects that covert strategies into results-driven actions.
Qualifications
- Required Education: Associate degree and 5-7 years experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/ or Experience
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Discipline/Major: Human Resources or Business Management preferred.
- Additional Certifications: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR SPHR or PMP certification preferred
