Business Development Manager - Cryogenics - Military Veterans

at Clean Energy Fuels Corp.

This position supports the Clean Energy Cryogenics division based in Evanston, Wyoming. The Business Development Manager will assist in driving growth and expanding business opportunities for the manufacturing and servicing of Liquified Natural Gas (LNG), Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), and Hydrogen equipment. This individual will identify new sales opportunities, and work with clients to close deals. The Business Development Manager will have an extensive knowledge of natural gas products, its functionality, and the ability to assist in closing on sales where technical expertise may be required.

The Cryogenics Business Development Manager will be a key point of contact for customers and provide both pre- and post-sales advice. The individual in this role will seek to establish long-term relationships with customers by gaining an understanding of their needs and proposing solutions that meet those needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Prepare and implement business development strategies focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction.

• Conduct research in the natural gas equipment industry and identify new markets and customer needs.

• Collaborate with engineering in assessing equipment needs and product requirements from customers.

• Prepare and negotiate sales contracts, terms, and conditions.

• Research ways to modify products to meet customer needs. Aim to provide exceptional customer service through product differentiation.

• Propose product solutions to customers who have equipment or production issues.

• Solicit and gather customer feedback. Evaluate and share the data with management to create new sales and marketing strategies.

• Identify areas to improve customer service and communicate potential solutions to production and engineering management.

• Generate revenue through third-party sales growth. Review cost and sales performance. Set and achieve sales targets and profit goals.

• Preparing tender proposals and quotations.

• Attend relevant trade exhibitions, conferences, and webinars.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, business administration, or related field. Proven experience as a business development manager, sales executive, or a similar role. Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills. In-depth knowledge of the natural gas equipment market and industry trends. The ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers. Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing software: MS Office, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
