General Description: Reporting to the Senior Director of Constituent Engagement, the Associate Director of Constituent Engagement is responsible for planning and implementing engagement programming, including but not limited to homecoming, alumni awards, athletics hall of fame and golden reunion. This position may be the primary liaison for the office to one or more committee(s) of the alumni association board of directors. Department: Advancement Position Category: Full Time Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree and at least three to five years of experience working with volunteers, preferably in an advancement setting. Experience working in a scientific or technological field and/or a strong working knowledge of science, technology and related issues a plus. Experience managing events focused on external audiences desired. Knowledge & Skills: Demonstrated and proven experience in volunteer leadership engagement and management. Demonstrated ability to think and work strategically. Committed to seeking continuous improvement and innovative solutions, along with the proven ability to develop, implement, and enhance programs and/or systems. Creativity is desired. Demonstrated high regard for teamwork, and collaboration. Must be able to prioritize independently and possess strong planning and project management skills. Experience with relationship management and relationship management systems.
