Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our Analytical Services Group. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert in TD-GCMS, VOC, and outgassing analysis within the AMH Analytical Lab. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, optimization, and implementation of analytical methods, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a Senior Scientist within the Analytical Services Group, providing expertise and leadership in analytical methods.
- Support laboratory operations, including processing routine samples, maintaining TD-GCMS instrumentation uptime, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Prepare detailed work instructions, execute test plans, perform data evaluation and interpretation, and report results.
- Conduct method development and validation/verification for new products, resins, and R&D projects.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of three to five years of experience (BS) or one to three years of experience (MS) in an analytical laboratory environment.
Additional Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of TD-GCMS system operation.
- Experience with other analytical instrumentation such as IC, ICP-MS, FTIR, and DSC.
- Proven ability to design and create new analytical procedures and work instructions to enhance laboratory operations.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting client and internal demands under tight timelines.
