The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Infectious Diseases and Global Health in the Biological Sciences Division, is searching for faculty members at any rank who will contribute to research within the Section and the Chicago Center for HIV Elimination (CCHE). Fields of interest include public health and socio-behavioral interventions for HIV, viral hepatitis, and/or substance use disorder, and the understanding of these processes in the context of the underlying risk environment, including criminal, legal and other policy contexts. Appointees will complement existing areas of strength, contribute to project conception and execution, and provide oversight and management on active research projects and Center Grants within CCHE.Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications. Appointments will be in the School of Medicine (SOM) faculty track. Faculty appointed to the SOM track are not tenure track but are considered tenure-eligible depending upon scholarship and productivity. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must have: 1) a doctoral degree (PhD, ScD, MD, MBBS, DrPH) or equivalent in public health, social sciences, statistics, or biostatistics, biological sciences, or related disciplines, and 2) completed postdoctoral training. We especially welcome applicants with expertise in anyof these areas:implementation science, pragmatic trial design, epidemiology, advanced biostatistics, and computational modeling.
