Field Service Engineer (Chandler, AZ) - Military Veterans

The Field Service Engineer will utilize electromechanical skills to provide excellent service to our customers. As part of the Field Service team, you will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting high vacuum pumps, abatement, gas, and chemical delivery systems in assigned territory. Travel outside the assigned territory maybe required to support your peers and install base.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform Preventative Maintenance tasks on products.
  • Troubleshoot errors or failures to root cause. Recommend or undertake remedial action to restore product to normal operating condition.
  • Demonstrate or train correct PM and/or operation of equipment.
  • Commission, setup equipment, and test equipment.
  • Complete and maintain various documentation and computer systems used in the execution of work as required.
  • Arrive promptly and properly dressed at all field locations.
  • Develop and maintain rapport with customers ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Remain on-call as required by the customer and/or service agreement.
  • Promote a safety culture, practice proper Edwards safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment at all times.
What We Expect of You?

Education/ Experience
  • Requires an AS degree, full military equivalent, or 4+ years of equivalent experience in relevant technical field such as electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration or basic vacuum.
  • Experience in Field Service and or the Semiconductor industry is preferred.
  • Clean driving record.
Knowledge areas/Skills
  • Competent in the use of test equipment including, various multimeters, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Able to read engineering drawings and electrical diagrams.
  • Possess basic computer skills in word processing, spread sheet software, and databases.
  • Must have a positive attitude, energetic, enthusiastic, willingness to learn, and commitment to get the job done.
  • A self-starter who can set priorities and can demonstrate initiative.
  • Must be capable of exercising good independent judgment.
  • Possesses good customer interface and communication skills.
  • May be required to work in confined or awkward spaces for extended periods of time. Will be required to complete training to work at height using approved fall protection equipment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
