Manufacturing Cost Accountant - Military Veterans

at Plastipak Packaging

As the Manufacturing Cost Accountant at our Global Corporate Headquarters, you can analyze and report on month-end manufacturing operations and inventory changes at our North American manufacturing locations.

You Will:

  • Report and complete analysis of monthly and year-to-date financials for assigned locations
  • Provide and complete analysis and maintenance on the standard costs
  • Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs, and providing reports to management.
  • Determining costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
  • Maintain and publish weekly & monthly reports for executive updates.
  • Coordination & participation in quarter-end and year-end physical inventory audits.
  • Development/Review of Manufacturing Budgets used to develop Labor and Overhead Rates

You Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting
  • Ability to Travel up to 15%
  • Experience with SAP is highly preferred
