Its faculty and programs span a continuum from discovery, development, and delivery of new drugs, devices, and diagnostics all the way to optimizing medication therapy in patients and patient populations. The school offers a BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences, MS in Pharmacology, PhD in Pharmacological Sciences, and Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD.) As part of the Susan & Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences, we actively collaborate with schools and programs in medicine, nursing, and population, public health, and the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute to educate, train, and mentor the next generation of pharmaceutical scientists and clinical pharmacists. Your Role on the Team The Administrative Coordinator for the Office of Pharmacy Student Affairs at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at UC Irvine is responsible for a wide range of student services, including organizing and managing events for prospective and current students. This role supports the associate dean, staff, and students in various capacities and will also manage administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparation of forms, safeguard confidential documents, handling reimbursements and purchasing, and developing standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, communication, and planning skills, applying professional student services concepts to address moderately complex issues and provide comprehensive support to the student population and academic staff. What It Takes to be Successful Required: Knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs. Ability to multi-task; verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills; multicultural competencies; ability to work with diverse populations. Ability in problem identification and reasoning. Skills in service orientation, organization, active listening, and critical thinking. Knowledge of University processes and procedures. Understanding of University rules and regulations. Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training 1-3 years of relevant experience. Preferred: Knowledge of University-specific computer application programs and pertinent databases. Prior academic health system experience preferred.
