Unique Skills:
Analysis - Ability to look through large data sets and highlight areas of concern and focus. Lead the analysis of areas of opportunity in cost reduction and revenue collection. Understand the P&L impacts of rev rec standard, accrual variances, and other charges to the P&L. Familiar with MRO industry a plus.
Report Building - Collate data from varying inputs and build into reports that provide project visibility to entire site. Ability to develop ad-hoc reports with limited supervision.
Collaboration - Work independently with a variety of disciplines and levels of leadership both on site and within the GAC MRO network to improve business acumen, validate data, correct aging balance sheet items, and improve forecasts. Requires bringing prompt resolution to issues independently and in a timely manner.
Presentation - Lead presentation of site results to large groups in a concise and efficient manner. Requires soliciting feedback and providing areas of focus to individuals during presentation.
Balance Sheet Review - Maintain an accurate and current balance sheet. Manage capital assets per corporate policy. Support the review with different accounting groups to ensure proper recording of site AR, AP, Intercompany, liabilities, etc.
Inventory and Internal Controls - Lead Cycle Count and other internal audits at the site, ensuring SOX controls are in place per corporate policy.
Overheads - Experience managing overhead liquidation and forecasting of overheads
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Finance or a related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Master's Degree preferred. Advanced degree may be used to reduce work experience by 2 years. 7 years increasing financial responsibility. Previous managerial/leadership experience preferred. Working understanding of GAAP. Other Certification preferred.
Position Purpose:
Assist operational business area management in developing, implementing and managing all financial matters. Provide business judgment for decisions with financial implications. Interprets and administers policies, processes, and procedures that may affect sections and subordinate work units. Maintains appropriate control environment consistent with Sarbanes Oxley reporting requirements.
