Job Summary:


Compass Point is looking for a Strategic Governance and Planning Support Lead to work at Fort Meade, MD.


EM's goals are both to grasp and exploit emerging technologies and to be better positioned within DISA to achieve maximum operational efficiency and mission execution effectiveness. Everything from cyber capabilities to identity, endpoints, and infrastructure technologies is touched by the broad scope of EM efforts.


Responsibilities


Job Responsibilities:




  • Completes studies to assess differences between the current Systems and capabilities and current operations and missions and determine if current and near-term needs are being met and when inadequacies are likely to start occurring.


  • Completes studies to assess and the integration of current Systems and capabilities into new and different applications or platforms.


  • Completes studies to evaluate foreign and non-developmental systems and technologies


  • Conducts technical evaluation and enterprise management that includes risk management, outreach, technical assessment and review, and collaboration activities.


  • Provides in-depth technical analysis and research results to identify possible vulnerabilities and threat vectors in current and future technologies. Work with Government leads to engineer and implement possible mitigations to resolve vulnerabilities discovered.


  • Develops an understanding of technology and engineering activities/investments and identify/propose to DISA uses of these technologies, as well as potential leverage points, where DISA can help shape and/or influence the focus, direction, and results of these efforts.


  • Considers the ability of the technology to meet various requirements, integrate into the DoDIN, meet STIG requirements and scale to meet mission needs when developing evaluation criteria.


  • Provides technical support to DISA in enhancing the technology assessment initiatives for promising future enterprise Information and Technology (IT) capabilities, and computing services.


  • Develops processes and artifacts for rolling out/transitioning new activity workflows, procedures, roles, and responsibilities across the DISA/DoD enterprise.


  • Develops strategies for the migration/transition of support from current to integrated functional and technical structures that meets guidelines.


  • Manages support to the various EM-wide SharePoint needs ensuring information is, current, and each website has the appropriate permissions. Ensure pertinent data is posted and accessible to appropriate users and that the web site remains up-to-date with the latest information and that the information grouping is logical and easy to access.


  • Assesses and conducts studies, prepares reports, and gives advice on feasibility, cost effectiveness, and regulatory conformance of long- and short-range strategic plans.


  • Reviews and evaluates materials, such as environmental impact statements, construction specifications, or budget or staffing estimates, to determine additional data requirement.


  • Designs and analyzes marketing research, communicates with clients, and develops strategic recommendations.


  • Performs work independently.


  • Considered a high-level specialist who regularly interacts and works with senior management.


  • Uses advanced techniques, theories, and processes to complete work.


  • Typically requires BA and 10-12 years.




Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:




  • +5 years supporting DoD or DISA Strategy and Governance policies and Technological Road Maps


  • +5 Years supporting exploiting emerging technologies within DoD or DISA to achieve maximum operational efficiency and mission execution effectiveness


  • +5 Experience with cyber capabilities to identity, endpoints, and infrastructure technologies


  • Active Secret Clearance.
