Role Overview:
Entegris is seeking a highly motivated Controls Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment where safety, quality and continuous improvement are paramount. You will be a key player on a dynamic New Product deployment team to support the development, and successful deployment of semiconductor precursor delivery systems in the company's Advanced Deposition Materials group. Challenges will vary depending on the customer's needs which will require innovation and multi-faceted solutions. This role will include direct interaction with a broad range of global senior, technical and functional management, and subject matter experts throughout the organization and at contract manufacturers . This role may also include frequent customer interaction while working with the Entegris field service team, accounts management and product management teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will work and support Field team in setting up and commissioning of precursor delivery systems.
- You will be responsible of troubleshooting functional issue in support of customer needs, translate faced issues and technical needs in engineering terms and propose/ recommend solutions.
- You will work with internal and external teams to develop, test and implement solutions.
- You will work with marketing and technical leaders on the requirements of new hardware and accurately identify customer requirements for new systems.
- You will work with subject matter experts on systems P&ID and controls requirements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure equipment can be reliable and meet quality and cost targets. This activity includes design for enhancements to existing equipment manufacturability and new product equipment.
- You will perform technology foresight and comparative technology analysis (SWOT) to guide R&D and NPD in gaining competitive advantage.
- You will build knowledge of precursor delivery system's interaction with the various Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and the requirements for delivery of chemistry to their process chambers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science / Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or similar technical field or related experience is required. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills on complex systems.
- Detailed experience on temperature control systems with various heating, monitoring and insulation background.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple activities.
- A global perspective with the ability to understand and work effectively in a culturally diverse organization.
- Accessible by laptop computer and cell phone for occasional use during off hours.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
- Proficient in written and verbal English (required).
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience designing and maintaining complicated PLC control systems or delivery systems.
- Knowledge in controls troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge on PLCs, ladder logic software, HMI screen interaction, etc.
- Experience in ALD, CLD a plus.
- Previous experience in supporting equipment or tools used in the semiconductor industry.
- Experience in working in a fab environment a plus.
