Scheduled Hours 37.5 Position Summary The Associate Director reports to the Director of Annual Giving. Primary duties and responsibilities involve directing Eliot Society efforts for the School of Medicine and focusing on acquisition, retention, and reacquisition of School of Medicine alumni prospects ($1,000 - $24,999) with a primary focus on unrestricted giving. The Associate Director will be responsible for developing a pipeline of alumni donors for the School of Medicine. Alumni donors will be asked to contribute to the SOM Annual Fund which allows the SOM to enhance scholarships, the student experience, and other immediate needs. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Qualify and cultivate donors with a primary focus on unrestricted giving, with the goal of increasing the donors support to leadership and major gift levels. Increase alumni giving by fostering a culture of philanthropy and inspiring our alumni to support the WUSM mission. Work closely with all levels of development officers in the School of Medicine to ensure short and long-term fundraising success. Create and foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork that celebrates outcomes, build individual and team capacity, and ensure that WashU UA is a preferred workplace. Perform other duties as assigned. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
