One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning, an affiliate of Authority Brands Inc., is the premier heating and cooling specialist in the Corpus Christi area. We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager who will be responsible for managing, guiding, and setting profit margin and service expectations for all managers, supervisors, and field staff while ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of HVAC services and products.

Our Operations Manager position starts at $83,000 per year with room for growth and an annual bonus opportunity!

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement best operational practices while focusing on continuous improvement and process enhancements to achieve budgeted gross margins.


• Oversees branch spend to include labor, vendor agreements, inventory, and fleet.


• Responsible for facilities management, inspections, maintenance, and repair to ensure protection of company assets.


• Oversee safety compliance, including employee training, safety tracking, employee compliance assessments, and incident investigations, to ensure that they are completed properly and that corrective actions are implemented when necessary.


• Ensure all personnel adhere to OSHA safety standards.


• Maintain compliance of licensing, permitting, and code requirements.


• Manage and develop service staff to include recruiting, hiring, termination, discipline, scheduling, setting work priorities, conducting staff meetings, evaluating performance, and directing work assignments to maximize production.


• Maintain training of field personnel on systems, tools, and procedures utilizing inhouse training, ride alongs, Success Academy, webinars, and online training programs.


• Conduct job site surveys, field personnel ridealongs, and work evaluations.


• Assist the dispatching operation in ensuring appropriate technician selection for the type of service.


• Participate in all company sponsored training classes.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.


• Associate degree in related field preferred.


• TDLR HVAC Contractor License through the State OF Texas in good standing required.


• EPA certification required.


• NATE certification preferred.


• Must have a minimum of 10 years of verifiable managerial, technical, and sales experience in the HVAC field.


• Knowledge of the fundamentals of operational functionality of residential and light commercial HVAC equipment required.


• Knowledge of the layout, installation, and service requirements for residential and light commercial HVAC required.


• Must have comprehensive knowledge of current HVAC products.


• Must have a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding annual revenue goals.


• Must possess the ability to understand effects of economic, financial, and market conditions on the business.


• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills required.


• Knowledge of local codes and permitting requirements required.


• Computer proficiency, including with Excel, required.


• Valid drivers license and a clean driving record


• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
