Systems Manufacturing Technician

You will be supporting the Manufacturing of Turbo Expander Support Packages safely and efficiently while meeting engineering, quality, delivery, and budget requirements.

You will be welding pipe and electrical supports, on-skid Electrical, instrumentation, and assembly layouts and wiring of components

The compensation for this position is $25.16- $36.82 hourly depending on skill. What you will own & execute:

  • Set up and run pressure tests and hydros
  • Set up and run system flush
  • Fit up pipe spools according to ACMTC drawing specifications and procedure
  • Install pipe spools and report fit/alignment problems
  • Align pumps and motors
  • Handle skid electrical installation work, conduit, cable tray, junction boxes, cable glands, heat tracing, and other various electrical components
  • Mount and align Reservoirs and Coolers
  • Read and understand ACMTC drawings and procedures related to the job
  • Report deficiencies requiring drawing changes to the appropriate engineer, supervisor, or manager
  • Assemble and install various types of junction boxes, transmitters, cables, and cable glands pertaining to the electrical control system.
  • Assemble/install electrical controls and systems based on engineering designs,drawings and ACMTC workmanship standards
  • Termination of all electrical connections on skid.
  • Create a layout of cable tray and conduit systems for turbo expander skid units.
  • Assembly and installation of all phases of electrical control system based on engineering designs, drawings, and ACMTC workmanship standards.
  • Complete documentation maintaining records and product quality according to standards and procedures
  • Stage job materials on job carts
  • Mount basic major equipment, i.e., accumulators, pump/motor bases, pumps and motors
  • Mount and align core machines on skids
  • Perform shipping preparations
  • Support teams and coworkers of higher skill level
  • Perform equipment preventive maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

  • Qualifications Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2-3 years of experience in an assembly or in a related position, with experience in a manufacturing environment, welding pipe and electrical supports, on-skid Electrical, instrumentation experience.
  • Crane/lift truck operation
  • Maintain 5S duties
  • Advanced experience in welding and electrical experience desired including running cable, pulling wire, terminal connections, wiring instruments, labeling
  • Good interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Able to work independently, be detail-oriented and adaptable with a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to read, write and understand spoken English

  • What you will learn:
  • Instrumentation tube bending
  • Pressure and Hydro testing of system piping
  • Oil flushing of support systems
  • How to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Reading and understanding manufacturing drawings, procedures, and schematics

  • How Success is measured:
  • Completing assigned tasks and assignments in the time duration given.
  • Utilizing a minimum of 40 hours of training on skid on learning and developing in our manufacturing processes.
  • Supporting and working the hours needed to complete our assigned jobs on schedule.

  • Something to consider:
  • Working Conditions: Available to work Overtime as needed, up to 12-hour shifts Monday - Friday, Saturdays, and some Sundays.
  • Essential Physical Tasks: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation Over 25lbs will require the use of cranes/power tools; Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching; Standing for long periods of time; Climbing ladders; Handling and assembling of small parts. Ability to climb around, over, and under equipment to conduct work
  • Equipment Used: Basic hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, punches, measuring devices, voltmeter, wire cutters, HART communicator, as well as hand power tools such as drills, portable band saws, etc.; Other power tools include drill press, iron worker, band saw, lathe, etc.
