The Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate to work under the supervision of Dr. Marwa Banna on one or more of the following topics: - Random matrix theory - Free probability theory - High-dimensional probability, concentration and functional inequalities - Mathematical aspects of quantum information theory, machine learning and deep neural networks. While excellent candidates with other research interests might be considered, priority will be given to those able to relate to one or more of the above topics. Applicants must have a PhD in Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science obtained within the last 5 years. Applications will be accepted immediately and candidates will be considered until the position is filled. The anticipated starting date is January 1, 2025 and the successful applicant will be appointed until December 31, 2026. The terms of employment are generous and internationally competitive, including housing and educational subsidies for children.
