Union Solar Pile Driver - Solar Star - Military Veterans

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Responsible for operating and maintaining pile driving equipment as directed and specified while adhering to all rules and regulations as mandated by Mortenson safety policies and procedures. Must be able to be a leader and trainer on pile tasks and responsibilities. Safety is always the first priority, so you must be able to understand and abide by all operating safety regulations, procedures and operations.
The base compensation range for this role is $50.42 - $53.42 per hour.

KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
Follows prescribed safety regulations
Ensure that all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area
Performs routine maintenance to include lubricating, fueling and cleaning
Observes equipment operation to detect machine malfunction
Follows work plans and pre-task cards
Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Operate Gayk 4000/5000 per requirements on site
Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Ability to move levers, shift gears, depress pedals and maneuver steering wheel to operator equipment
Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, crouch, kneel, climb and periodically lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, procedure manuals, and load charts
Knowledge of equipment and their uses
Understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, & multiplication)

Ability to work independently
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Equipment certifications per needs of project
A minimum of 1 year of experience on equipment
Must possess valid driver's license
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
A. Ability to frequently work in heat and other weather conditions
B. Frequently crouch, kneel, squat, climb
C. Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
D. Frequently reach high and low places
E. Ability to see, hear, balance, and review job sites
F. Ability to sit, stand and walk throughout the work day.
G. Ability to use repetitive hand/arm/leg movements
H. Must be able to dust, grease/oil machinery
I. Frequently be around excessive noise and vibrations
