UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON Cardiac Electrophysiology, University of Washington The Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine, University of Washington School of Medicine and UW Heart Institute is recruiting a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor level (without tenure due to funding) in the Section of Electrophysiology . Salary and academic appointment at University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank. Assistant Professors WOTare eligible for multi-year appointments and Associate ProfessorsWOT and Professors (WOT)hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The anticipated start date will July 1, 2025. The position includes engagement in patient care, scholarship, and medical education. The candidate will have opportunities to provide a strong commitment to patient care, practicing dynamic, cutting edge medicine at the top-rated hospital in the state of Washington. The successful candidate will practice at UW Medical Center-Montlake and/or UW Medical Center-Northwest. They will provide clinical care in the inpatient and outpatient settings and in the electrophysiology lab. Clinical expectations will include lead extraction . While it is not necessary to independently perform these upon arrival, the successful candidate will be mentored to ensure competency and active participation in the extraction program growth. Other clinical work includes catheter ablation of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias and cardiac implantable electronic device implantation. The teaching activities of this position will include attending on clinical services and electrophysiology lab with cardiology and electrophysiology fellows and didactic lecturing. The successful candidate will be expected to provide effective leadership and support the department's commitment to patient care, scholarship and medical education. The base salary range for this position will be $16,250-$41,667 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may include an administrative salary supplement (ADS), moonlighting opportunities, and incentive through UW Physicians practice plan. Applicants must have an MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and be board certified or eligible in electrophysiology (or foreign equivalent). Successful candidates must have an academic track record with evidence of publications. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
