What You Can Expect

The Total Rewards Analyst plays a key role in supporting the HR Department and advancing ENGIE's talent objectives by analyzing, developing, and managing employee health, welfare, and retirement plans for the U.S. and Canadian workforce. This position serves as a liaison between benefits brokers, insurance providers, and third-party vendors to resolve benefit-related issues and ensure the efficient use of plans, fostering positive employee relations. Additionally, the Analyst ensures that all plans comply with federal and state regulations and adhere to plan provisions.
  • Collaborates with the benefits broker on day-to-day vendor management, resolving complex or escalated employee and claim issues that the Benefit Helpline cannot address.
  • Supports M&A due diligence by conducting benefit analyses of target companies, identifying potential risks, costs, and making recommendations for integration.
  • Works closely with the HRIS department and ADP to configure the benefits module in ADP Vantage for ongoing enrollment and to maintain eligibility file feeds sent to vendors.
  • Coordinates with the Benefits Broker, ERISA attorney, and vendors to ensure plan documents and Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) are up-to-date and compliant with local and federal regulations.
  • Ensures that all annual filings and notices, such as 1095s and 5500s, are accurately completed and submitted on time.
  • Administers health and welfare plans, including handling enrollments and terminations, ensuring accurate employee elections and proper communication with insurance providers and payroll.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for Canada benefits administration, ensuring accurate employee enrollments and proactive management of all benefit plans.
  • Manages the 401(k) plan, ensuring compliance with Safe Harbor rules, processing hardship withdrawals, QDROs, and beneficiary claims, and working with payroll to resolve employee account issues.
  • Leads the annual 401(k) audit, coordinating efforts with the auditor, TPA, and accounting teams.
  • Evaluates the competitiveness of benefit plans, recommending new offerings or changes to existing plans to maintain market competitiveness, and leads the process of updating or implementing plans in ADP Vantage.
  • Oversees the annual open enrollment period, preparing educational materials, training HR Business Partners through a train-the-trainer approach, arranging distribution of enrollment materials, and working with HRIS and ADP to manage the enrollment process and address employee issues.
  • Develops and distributes monthly benefit awareness program materials to U.S. and Canadian employees, partnering with vendors to enhance awareness of existing benefit programs.
  • Collaborates with HR, Legal, HRIS, Finance, Treasury, and executive management on various benefits-related matters.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline required
  • Minimum five years' experience in Human Resources administering Health and Welfare and Retirement plans.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of insurance regulations, plan designs and third party record keeping/administration required.
  • Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA and related state and federal regulations required.
  • Experience with Canadian benefit plan administration preferred.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR), or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential preferred.
  • Experience with ADP Vantage HCM required .
  • Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) preferred
