Responsibilities


Job Responsibilities:




  • Develops logistics strategies and recommends changes to processes to keep programs ahead of schedule.


  • Assesses, manages and works to reduce risk factors.


  • Enhances work-flow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect inventory and aircraft maintenance schedule.


  • Creates and reviews procedures for inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction (i.e., mission readiness) and minimize program cost and risks.


  • Conducts logistics and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times and order fill rates.


  • Monitors and reports issues such as lost deliveries, delays, customs issues and/or licensing issues.


  • Coordinates, monitors, and reports procurement efforts with all departments.


  • Coordinates expediting open repair, procurement, and AOG needs with vendors/suppliers and Logistics Manager.


  • Coordinates shipment and receipt materials, parts, and repairs via the timeliest and most cost-effective manner.


  • Partner with Maintenance for upcoming tasks (part availability) and attend all required maintenance meetings.


  • Maintains appropriate records and prepares reports as needed.


  • Coordinates logistics activities between the program and vendors/suppliers.


  • Responsible for timely communication of updates to all stakeholders.


  • Provides additional support as required.


  • Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.




Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:




  • Must be a U.S. citizen with a secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.


  • Minimum of 2 years of similar job-related experience.


  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.


  • Exceptional time management.


  • Microsoft Office experience (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).


  • Able to analyze inventory and financial data to support program success.




Desired Qualifications:




  • 5+ years experience in aviation logistics as an AOG Expediter.


  • Bachelor's degree.
