ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Observe all company safety policies and procedures.


• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance functions as advised by the Reliability Manager.


• Accurately account for all maintenance time and document each shift.


• Complete assigned work orders as advised by the Reliability Manager.


• Rebuild or recondition worn parts for repair.


• Routinely perform cycle counts on inventory parts and order restock parts to ensure adequate levels are kept in CMMS.


• Perform housekeeping duties to ensure department and company standards are maintained.


• Perform troubleshooting on all plant equipment. Mechanical and Electrical.


• Performs any other tasks trained for and assigned by Reliability Manager.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School graduate or G.E.D. Required. Electrical and Mechanical certificates are preferred. Minimum 7 years of experience working in a manufacturing facility as a reliability mechanic.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic Math skills required. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Able to convert fraction to decimal equivalent.

MECHANICAL SKILLS: Strong understanding of plant machinery, pneumatic & hydraulic systems. Basic understanding of photo eyes, proximity & limit switches and electrical. Welding, fabrication skills and PLC experience is a plus.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read, write & understand basic English. Able to communicate effectively, get along with coworkers, employees in other departments & management as well as lead a small group meeting to drive root cause and actions. Able to submit work orders using JDE or equivalent program. Able to work with contractors for part and or work quotes.

REASONING ABILITY: Requires making decisions based on established guidelines regarding running or shutting down equipment and operational problems/difficulties of all kinds. Must be able to prioritize work accordingly. Deal effectively & professionally under pressure.

ATTENDANCE: Accrued attendance points must below 5.

• Minimal 8 hr shift schedule with some overtime.


• Occasional overhead lifting.


• Required to stand & walk continually.


• Occasional lifting, pushing, and/or pulling 40 to 60 lbs.


• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling & reaching.
