Description:3x12 Weekend Shift


Troubleshoots and expedites the flow of work, materials, parts, tools, supplies and related documentation within or between various manufacturing areas where normal expediting procedures are inadequate or have failed to overcome production delays. When required, investigates production delays or procedural discrepancies requiring attention to eliminate potential difficulties; isolates and analyzes the specific problem or problems to determine the cause and takes necessary action to resolve the problem and follows up to see that appropriate measures are taken to eliminate recurrences. Coordinates or directs the performance of material searches and inventory of materials, parts, tools, and supplies as required. May assist lower graded Production Control employees in resolving critical problems in assigned areas regarding manufacturing difficulties, engineering changes or serious production delays. Makes, schedules status and other Production Control related input into computer systems as required. Receives, stores, issues, transfers, maintains, for general purpose standard tools including cutters, drills, gauges, soldering irons, jigs, templates, attachments and other crib items. Responds to requests (both verbal/written) on locating standard tools; issues to only authorized employees standards tools such as slotting cutters, butt mills, face mills, angle cutters, slitting saws, etc. Maintains computerized and/or manual tool control records of all tools and equipment showing receipt, location, disbursement, and makes necessary changes on the computer as tools and equipment are issued, transferred, and received. Checks returned tools for condition and makes proper disposition – returning to storage, forwarding to repair areas, or scrapping through data collection system. Determines the need and justification for ordering new or replacement standard tools. Maintains records of all gauging tools requiring periodic inspection. Locates and submits tools for inspection and/or calibration as required. Participates in semi-annual audits or discretionary audits by supervision or Corporate.
When requested, verifies terminating or transferred employees to assure accountability of issued tools on the computer system. Maintains tool crib and work area in neat and orderly fashion. Analyzes and coordinates specific problems relating to the calibration/rework of standard tools necessary to avoid production delays. Ensures maintenance of acceptable level of standard tools inventory to support manufacturing. Coordinates or directs the performance of tool searches and factory supplies and safety items as required. May assist lower graded tool attendant employees in resolving critical problems in assigned tool cribs, tooling availability, and usage. May attend meetings as required. Ensures proper flow of all materials, tools, and other items, and their documentation (paper or electronic). Ensures proper status is maintained (paper or electronic) for all materials, tools, and other items in the assigned work area. May review, measure, and verify equipment and/or tooling specifications and other items in the assigned work area. Maintains awareness and the need to reorder consumable supplies, new or replacement of standard tools and other production aids in the assigned work area. Ensures that all precautions have been taken to protect all materials, tools issued, and other items in the assigned work area. Maintains all work areas are in a neat and orderly fashion. Ensures accuracy of data accessed/changed due to job . Works with representatives of other organizations or areas to ensure proper flow of all materials to meet required needs/goals.
Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift in accordance with the collective Bargaining Agreement between Lockheed Martin and the UAW.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance.

Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift in accordance with the collective Bargaining Agreement.

Strong computer skills (Windows application with an emphasis on Excel).

Strong organizational and tracking skills.

Ability to read & understand technical based bill of materials.

Ability to lift and move manufactured assemblies, parts and materials to and from various locations within the manufacturing facility.
Desired Skills:
Expertise in providing status to others in a complex/fluid environment.

Ability to work with others in a team environment and at the same time be comfortable working alone on special tasks.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
