CRITICAL CARE INTENSIVIST | University of Iowa - Military Veterans

The University of Iowa Department of Anesthesia is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Critical Care Intensivist. The Department of Anesthesia is seeking faculty members for appointment on the Clinical or Tenure Track at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank, depending on qualifications. Responsibilities of this position include: Participating in team-based anesthesia care and personally providing anesthesia care Serving as a member of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating for effective patient outcomes Active participation in the academic activities of the Department and College of Medicine Supervising students, residents, fellows, SRNA's and non-anesthesia rotators Providing developmental feedback to those under supervision, verbally and in writing Preparing educational materials, leading and/or attending academic lectures and professional development events Demonstrated experience in promoting an inclusive team-based work environment Research activities are encouraged, though participation is not required for continued employment or promotion Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any misconduct history or pending research misconduct investigation including but not limited to sexual misconduct in prior employment and provide a related release and will be subject to a criminal background and credential check.
