SPORTS MEDICINE ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON | University of Iowa - Military Veterans

The Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation is seeking a Sports Medicine Orthopedic surgeon who will have teaching, research and clinical service responsibilities in Sports Medicine. Appointment is at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor based on background and qualifications and may be either on the Clinical or Tenure Track, depending upon research interests and background. This is an outstanding opportunity to join our academic department and to be a part of our thriving sports medicine service which provides comprehensive care to the Iowa Hawkeye athletic teams and to athletes from Eastern Iowa and beyond. The new University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus will open in the Spring of 2025. This 469,000 square foot facility will be home to UI Health Care's nationally recognized Orthopedics service line, offering comprehensive, coordinated, and accessible care across the outpatient, inpatient and surgical venues. These state-of-the-art clinical facilities will also include a full-service community imaging center, laboratory services, physical therapy, retail pharmacy, and emergency department as well as an array of support services. The facility has been designed to support a superior patient and staff experience; excellence across our patient care, teaching and research missions; convenient access to services; and engaging community partnerships. The sports medicine service will be a critical part of this new facility.
