Position Title: Part-Time Service Golf Grounds Location: Big Rapids (Main Campus) Department: 51401 - Katke Grounds Maint Advertised Salary: $12-$14/hr FLSA: Non-Exempt Temporary/Continuing: Temporary Part-Time/Full-Time: Part-Time Union Group: N/A Term of Position: 9 Month At Will/Just Cause: At Will Summary of Position: The position includes responsibilities of all areas of the golf course grounds operations including mowing, weed whipping, and maintenance of the golf course, practice facility, short game areas and clubhouse surrounds. Position Type: Staff Required Education: High School Diploma / GED Required Work Experience: None Required Licenses and Certifications: Physical Demands: Bending Carrying Inclement Weather Moving Reaching Twisting Lifting Pulling/Pushing Repetitive movement Standing Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Some experience in playing golf, golf course maintenance, ornamental horticulture, lawn care, farming, heavy equipment use, or a relatable field is preferred, but not required. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Mowing, weed whipping, grounds maintenance. Duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of quality and total satisfaction of all members and guests. Reports directly to Golf Course Superintendent or his/her designee. Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members. Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
