Position Title: Adjunct Instructor 1 - Pharmaceutical Science Location: Grand Rapids (Pharmacy) Department: 37001 - Pharmaceutical Sciences Advertised Salary: Salary commensurate with qualifications pursuant to the FSU and FNTFO/AFT Agreement. FLSA: Exempt Temporary/Continuing: Temporary Part-Time/Full-Time: Part-Time Union Group: N/A Term of Position: As Needed At Will/Just Cause: At Will Summary of Position: Looking for an Adjunct Instructor Level 1 of Pharmacy in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Department at Ferris State University College of Pharmacy, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Strong commitment to student-centered education. Responsibilities include teaching of the Pharmacy Law course. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for in-person and/or online instruction. However, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Position Type: Faculty - Temporary & Continuing Required Education: Doctoral degree in pharmacy administration or a related field OR Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)-accredited institution OR Juris Doctor degree. Required Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years of pharmacy-related employment. Required Licenses and Certifications: Physical Demands: Office Environment Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Degree in Pharmacy (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited institution. Teaching experience in higher education is preferred. Eligible to obtain license to practice law in the United States or licensed to practice law in the United States. Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Michigan Ten years of pharmacy-related employment. Two years part-time is equivalent to one year full-time. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Responsibilities include teaching the Pharmacy Law course. Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members. Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include but are not limited to: keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance (ex. reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Faculty may be required to teach off-campus or in an on-line environment. Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members. Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
