Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Information Technology Specialist to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Provide services to monitor servers, applications, systems, and databases.


• Provide desktop support including workstation setup and password assignments.


• Deploy configuration changes and update on all servers and workstations.


• Monitor network router/switch status, respond to network alarms, and respond to associated problems.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Active Top Secret security clearance with willingness to be submitted for a polygraph upgrade


• Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer and Information Security, Computer Security, and/or Network Administration from an accredited university/college; or a Master's degree in Computer Science or related scientific/technical field.


• Minimum of 5 years of experience deploying network configurations, test/troubleshooting activities, planning and executing patch management strategy, and maintaining version control of systems such as VMWare, OpenStack, Microsoft Windows, Linux and Mac/Unix based systems.


• Experience in configuration and troubleshooting of local and remote sytems, virtualization, Active Directory, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name System (DNS), Distributed File System (DFS), and File and Printer servers.


• Additional education, training, certifications, or work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree or work experience at the customer's discretion
