Job Type: Officer of Administration Regular/Temporary: Regular Hours Per Week: 35 Salary Range: $175,000 - $190,000 Annual The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary The Senior Director of Mitral & Tricuspid Center holds a pivotal leadership role, driving management of mitral and tricuspid disease within the esteemed Structural Heart and Valve Center (SHVC). Under the guidance of the Faculty Director of Columbia Interventional Cardiovascular Care (CICC) and the Executive Director of the Heart Valve Center, the Senior Director will lead clinical pathway development strategies to ensure excellent patient experience, quality, and safety. The Senior Director will also spearhead plans to enhance the Center???s visibility, focusing on referral pathways, clinic and procedure volumes, and clinical trial recruitment through strategic marketing and outreach. The Senior Director will develop educational and training programs to disseminate knowledge on the management of mitral and tricuspid disease. Lastly, the Senior Director will drive continued innovation and research in the field of mitral and tricuspid valve. Responsibilities Provide exemplary oversight of patient care and clinical management, ensuring personalized interventions for mitral and tricuspid disease. Implement protocols for optimized outcomes, emphasizing personalized treatment plans and continuous monitoring. Continuously assess and improve clinical protocols and workflows for enhanced patient care experience. Foster collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including structural heart and valve center physicians, surgeons, heart failure specialists, echocardiographers, electrophysiologists and APPs. Develop and execute community outreach strategies, maintaining strong relationships with referring physicians and institutions. Devise targeted approaches to amplify referral pathways, attract patients, and increase procedure volume and trial recruitment. Lead marketing initiatives to elevate the Center???s visibility. Monitor patient, trial recruitment, and procedure volumes, communicating trends or variations to leadership. Review data to identify trends to anticipate needs and proactively implement changes through collaborative efforts for continuous operational efficiency. Ensure seamless coordination with NYP and CUIMC for integrated healthcare delivery. Effectively communicate growth projections to garner enhanced support from various departments within NYP and CUIMC, including Heart Failure, Electrophysiology, Echo, Radiology, Cath Lab, PPOC, Inpatient Units, and others. Provide quarterly reporting to all stakeholders summarizing key findings, progress, and strategic insights. Perform other responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related experience. Expertise in structural heart interventions. The candidate must collaborate effectively with a diverse team, showcasing organizational, creative, and efficient capabilities. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree or equivalent in education and expertise, plus five years of related experience. The ideal candidate possesses a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects, a history of building diverse relationships, strong communication and writing skills, and proficiency in project management. Experience with clinical trial protocols and data management. History of working with academic and clinical thought leaders. Demonstrated leadership ability in multidisciplinary cardiovascular settings. Other Requirements Must successfully complete applicable systems and trainings requirements.
