Quality Inspector - Military Veterans

Eaton’s AER MSD Mission System Division is currently seeking a Quality Inspector. This position is based at our Westminster, MD facility. 
Eaton Mission Systems is a premiere employer for aviation, space and emergency response applications.  

 

The starting hourly range for this position is $23.00-$24.00/ hour per hour.

What you’ll do:






 


•    Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections on parts and products, including but not limited to mechanical and visual inspections.
•    Work to approved inspection checklists, engineering drawings, purchase orders, work instructions and specifications.
•    Utilize Non-Conforming Material Control process to document parts that do not meet specifications.
•    Responsible for ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities.
 






Qualifications:







 Basic Qualifications:



•    Minimum 2 years of experience with mechanical and visual inspection of machined parts and assemblies.
•    Minimum 2 years of experience using business class software in a professional employment setting.
•    Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
•    This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee
•    No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Westminster, MD to be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation    


 


Preferred Qualifications:



•    High School Diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited institution  
•    Lean Six Sigma knowledge.
•    Advanced Part Quality Planning (APQP) knowledge
•    First Article Inspection (FAI) AS9102 knowledge
•    ASQ Mechanical Inspector Certification.






Skills:






 


•    Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings, Workmanship Standards, Military and Federal Specifications, and basic GD&T (Basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
•    Ability to interact with a wide variety of support personnel, including but not limited to, Associates, Supervision, Management and Engineers.
•    Computer, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills; organization and time management skills
