Payroll & Benefits Specialist


Job Summary:


As the Payroll & Benefits Specialist, you will handle benefit and payroll coordination, address employee inquiries, coordinate on/offboarding processes, and support performance management processes for designated entities. The ideal candidate will be highly detail oriented.


 


Duties/Responsibilities:


·         Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of employee records.


·         Coordinate and audit checklists for onboardings and offboarding.


·         Develop and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for payroll and benefits. Provide payroll support and assist with payroll processing.


·         Oversee time-off requests, time tracking, and timecard audits for temp to hire employees.


·         Manage temporary agency contracts, submit weekly contractor timecards, correspondence related to time off requests, reconcile contractor invoices, ensure correct coding prior to submitting invoices for payment.


·         Serve as the point of contact for payroll and benefits inquiries.


·         Conduct monthly audits to ensure benefit accuracy.


·         Create and maintain all HR Forms Library.


·         Support performance management processes and assist with employee reviews.


·         Facilitate employee communication, new hires, birthdays, and anniversaries.


·         Employee recognition program coordinator.

Qualifications:


·         High School Diploma required.


·         Minimum of 2+ years of proven experience in payroll processing and benefits administration.


·         A bachelor's degree in human resources, accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferred.


·         Strong payroll principles, process knowledge, best practices, regulations, and compliance knowledge.


·         Understanding benefit plan principles (health insurance, retirement plans, etc.)


·         Excellent attention to detail, organized, the ability to follow through, and maintain an elevated level of accuracy.


·         Strong mathematical and analytical skills.


·         Ability to communicate effectively with all levels both internally and externally through written and verbal communication in English, with Spanish communication skills a plus.


·         Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems. ADP specific experience is a plus.


·         Proficiency with MS Office applications, Adobe, and tech savvy.


·         Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.


·         Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.


 


Essential Functions:


 


·         Typical work schedule, Monday through Friday, and after hours as requested.


·         Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer and/or electronic device.


·         Excellent organization, coordination, and project management skills.


·         Lift or move items up to twenty-five pounds.
