Responsibilities

The Quality Auditor is responsible for the oversight of construction deliverables and reviewing, rejecting, and approving those customer closeout deliverables, as well as the quality of the construction deliverables provided by the crews from the field.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Downloading approved project OOM from NSite and validate project deliverables with what has been pushed to CMP.


  • Communicate with the MasTec PM and GC assigned to the site as to discrepancies or changes needed to the OOM and NSite load


  • Communicate with the GC's CF and site assigned CM on deliverables going through CMP


  • Track progress of crews in the field through CMP or verbal communication with site CM


  • Review, Reject, and/or approve those deliverables, near real time, while crew is on site


  • Confirm that all deliverables in CMP are in compliance to MasTec Quality requirements as well as meeting the customer standards of deliverables


  • Confirm with the CF that all customer deliverables have been approved, and GC has finished what has been assigned to them, based off of OOM and what is assigned to that vendor in NSite


  • Complete project while crew is on site or day of site completion scheduled depending on site connectivity and time the crew finishes deliverables


  • Confirm completed projects have transitioned from CMP to NSite properly and in correct folders


  • Confirm all deliverables are loaded to the correct customer system, either manually or in future automated features. For example FileNet, Siterra, SiteTrac, etc


  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert of construction standards within MasTec for corrective action validation.


  • Coordinate directly with PMs/CMs/GCs on any matter of opinion as to the corrective action process expected to take place on a given site as well as the primary party accountable for the action.


  • Coordination direct with the Independent Third-Party Auditor, as well as internal auditor (QCM) conducting the auditor on any question concerning the construction standard applicable to the inspection market.


  • Be prepared as needed to summarize quality exception to policy situations found in the audit process in a clear and concise Quality Bulletin for approval by the Director, Quality and Safety for distribution across the enterprise.


  • Coordinate with the customer community as requested to identify fault-isolation trends and summarize reports as required.


  • Augment customer standard instructions as time permits as to current construction trends and nonstandard processes trends identified across MasTec.


  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of Associated Degree preferred, but not critical


  • Must possess three to five years of documented successful Construction Management


  • Construction and/or Project Management background


  • Self-starter with effective communications skills


  • Must be fluent in the Microsoft Office Software suite to include Access and Microsoft Project.


  • Ability to work virtual


  • Must be a forward thinking person who can work independently, as well as part of a team to achieve desired results


  • Knowledge of customer requirements/builds


  • Knowledge of MasTec Policies/Requirements


  • Complete all of MasTec required certifications and keep them up to date
