Associate Contracts Administrator - Military Veterans

at Energy Transfer Equity, L.P.

Summary:

This position will work in the Contract Administration Group reporting to the Contract Administration Director. The administrator is the initial point of contact within the contracts group ensuring that deals are appropriately papered, contract provisions are adhered to, and business records are maintained. The administrator must communicate effectively in a cross-functional environment on matters relating to systems and contracts. The administrator will report on-site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Support ET Entities/Commercial by providing value added services such as:

• Perform daily administration of up to 500 contracts covering up to 2 BCF of gas per day

• Work with Commercial team to prepare contracts and amendments using standard forms

• Draft changes to standard contract language

• Interface with the legal department in coordination and drafting of contracts/amendments.

• Enter contract data into Quorum Contract Management System

• Track contractual obligations and administer contract trigger events

• Prepare Accounting Advice Briefs for new and amended settlement terms

• Audit settlement statements for new and amended settlement terms

• Route contracts for approval and execution

• Research questions and issues and analyze data to provide relevant contractual information to internal and external customers

• Organize and maintain contract files and related records

• Generate contract-related correspondence

• Gather contractual data and prepare reports for internal business needs

• Follow SOX procedures and maintain adequate records for audit purposes

• Interface with external customers to address contractual issues

• Present information effectively to various groups or management when required

• Work closely with Commercial Department to understand new deals

• Work closely with Accounting on settlement issues

• Work closely with Measurement to ensure that wells do not flow without contracts

• Perform due diligence for acquisitions and divestitures

• Perform and/or assist with various projects, tasks and responsibilities as needed

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with natural gas contracts

• 0 - 2 years of natural gas contract administration experience

• Strong organization and time management skills

• Exceptional attention to detail in order to spot inconsistencies on contracts or briefs

• Superior analytical skills

• Ability to make decisions

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly with Word and Excel

• Affinity for mastering new software tools

• Ability to multi-task and work productively independently with minimal supervision as part of a team.

• Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines with a sense of urgency

• Flexible and dependable

• Professional appearance and demeanor

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

• The Associate Specialist requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 0-2 years of relevant job related experience

• The Specialist level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience

• The Senior Specialist level requires a Bachelor's or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of natural gas contract administration experience

• The Lead Specialist level requires a Bachelor's or equivalent experience and 8+ years of natural gas contract administration experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Quorum Contract Management System, a plus

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

• Usually, normal office working conditions.

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

• Occasional overnight travel may be required.

• Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
